How do I submit a Declaration of Formal Obligation?
Sponsors without a German residence and residence in the consular district of the German Embassy Manila can submit the Declaration of Formal Obligation at the Consular section of the German Embassy. The Consular section’s visiting hours are from Monday to Friday, 8-11am.
In order to give a Declaration of Formal Obligation please submit the following documents:
- valid passport
- bank statements of the last 3 months
- if applicable open-ended employment contract mentioning the agreed salary
Your documents will be returned to you after you gave the Declaration of Formal Obligation.
The fees for the Declaration of Formal Obligation amount to 25,-€, payable in PHP or by credit card.
The Embassy reserves the rights to request further supporting documents.
