Visa requirements

In General, Filipino citizens need a visa to enter Germany.

To avoid difficulties, it is advisable to set the appointment (if possible) as early as 3 months before the planned date of departure.

The visa section would like to stress that during the regular processing time of a Schengenvisa (approximately one week) no inquiries regarding the status of the application can be answered.

Notice to all Crewing/Manning Agencies

Please be informed that the German Embassy Manila has suspended the accreditation of crewing agencies.

Seafarers can now apply for visas at the German Embassy, even if their respective crewing agency is not accredited.
