Visa procedure and forms
NOTICE TO ALL VISA APPLICANTS
All information leaflets and the procedure of processing visa applications are regularly adapted to the current circumstance. The most current information can be found on this website.
Please note that information on outdated information leaflets might not comply with the current requirements, so please get the current information on visa requirements at the time you prepare your application.
Kindly understand that questions about visa matters, that are already explained on the website, cannot be answered again individually. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have further questions that cannot be answered by the information on the website.
Visa applications are accepted in the Visa Section only if an appointment for the submission of the application was scheduled, and only during the following times:
Monday to Thursday between 8.00 am and 1.00 pm
You can find detailed information regarding the appointment system of the Visa Section in the following information leaflet: http://www.manila.diplo.de/contentblob/2612414/Daten/1856540/MB_visa_appointment.pdf
When setting an appointment via the call center of the German Embassy, the data required for the visa processing is already retrieved from the caller.
In order to keep the telephone fee low, it is urgently advised to keep at hand all required documents for the visa application as well as the valid passport of the applicant when setting the appointment.
The data is encoded by the Call Center for the data processing in the Visa Section.
This means that the visa staff do not have to manually encode the application data.
The manual encoding of the data in the Visa Section would inevitably lead to considerable waiting times for visa appointments. This is not in your best interest.
The application data is required for the electronic data processing.
The Visa cannot be issued without the electronic data processing.
When you visit the Embassy to submit your visa application, kindly ensure the following:
1. Arrive in time for your appointment in the Visa Section
2. Bring all the required documents based on the checklist in the relevant information leaflet below (an incomplete application will be turned away at the visa counter and the applicant will be requested to set a new appointment for the visa interview).
3. Carefully check the data in your application before submitting it at the Visa counter, and make corrections in writing in the form where required (the application form alone is legally binding; visas are issued with dates that are given in the application form).
