The Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research

The Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in the Helmholtz Association does research in the Arctic and Antarctic regions, as well as on coasts and in high and mid-latitude oceans. It coordinates polar research in Germany, analyses global environmental changes, and contributes to deciphering the complex natural connections in the Earth System.

DOST laboratory awarded certificate of German Accreditation Body

Ambassador Weber-Lortsch recently handed over the accreditation certificate on behalf of the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (German Accreditation Body, DAkkS) for the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) National Metrology Laboratory.

RETech – The internet portal all around waste management and recycling

The portal presents all aspects of the German industry: From proven and
innvovative technologies to legislation, financing, stakeholders and
international projects. In addition, it offers possibilities to connect
with German companies and institutions. The internet portal is part of
Export Initiative Recycling and Efficiency Technologies by the German
Federal Ministry of the Environment, promoting knowledge transfer and
technology export in waste mangement and recycling.
