Germany and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) recently signed an Agreement concerning the provision of German nationals as Associate Professional Officers at the ADB. The signing took place during the visit of Mrs. Gudrun Kopp, Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in the Philippines.

German Ambassador Dr. Joachim Heidorn and Mr. Yasushi Kanzaki, ADB Director General for Budget, Personnel, and Management Systems, signed the document in the presence of State Secretary Kopp. The Agreement aims to give German nationals the opportunity to support the ADB in carrying out its multilateral development cooperation activities.
