Mabuhay Germany 2011 - Winning Moments
Mabuhay Germany 2011 kicked off last October 7-9 at the Bonifacio High Streetwith the theme “Winning Moments” – a celebration of business successes and cultural milestones of German-Philippine relations.
The opening night on October 7, hosted by Ms. Earth Foundation spokesperson Sandra Seifert, saw the attendance of several foreign dignitaries, government officials, and representatives of German and Philippine businesses. The highlight of the evening was the signing by Mayor Ma. Laarni Cayetano of the Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Taguigand the City of Freiburg. The agreement, which was sponsored Robert Bosch Inc. Philippines, intended to promote cooperation on various social, technological and environmental programs, such as carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction, climate change adaptation, disaster preparation, city planning, and improvement of the public transport system. The evening was
capped with a performance by a world-class German jazz band called the Hot Brownies.
The succeeding days of Mabuhay was just as eventful, with exhibits that showcase German products and services, performances by local artists The Bloomfields, the Out of Body Special, and DJ Funk Avy, games, and so much more!
Mabuhay Germanyis a trade and cultural event organized by the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI). The three-day event serves as an opportunity to make the local community explore and experience the diversity of the German culture, its economy and its people.
