Germany Trade and Invest
Germany Trade and Invest is the new foreign trade and inward investment agency of the Federal Republic of Germany. Formed following the merger of the German Office for Foreign Trade and the Invest in Germany GmbH, Germany Trade and Invest officially came into being on January 1, 2009. Germany Trade and Invest’s mission is to promote Germany as a location for industrial and technological investments and to identify investors for the German market.
German Academic Exchange Service
For more than 75 years now, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has been committed to advancing academic relations between Germany and other countries as well as, more generally, to promoting the fields of education, science, culture and research. The 200 and more programmes of the DAAD pursues range from short-term exchanges for research or teaching purposes through to doctoral scholarships lasting several years for graduates from developing countries, from information visits by delegations of foreign university vice chancellors through to the long-term regional programmes conceived to establish efficient higher education systems in the Third World.

Goethe-Institut
The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institution operational worldwide. It promotes the study of the German language abroad and encourages international cultural exchange. It also fosters knowledge about Germany by providing information on its culture, society and politics. With its network of Goethe-Instituts, Goethe-Centres, cultural societies, reading rooms and exam and language centres, the Goethe-Institut has played a central role in the cultural and educational policies for over 50 years.
The GIGA Institute of Asian Studies
Founded in 1956 by initiative of the German Parliament and the German Federal Foreign Office, on January 1, 2007, the institute became part of the GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies and changed its name to the Institute of Asian Studies (IAS). It carries out research on contemporary political, economic and social developments of the Asian countries.

Founded in 1900 by the pioneers of German business relationships with Asia, OAV is one of the most renowned business associations in Germany.
